I chose to intern with the Lionheart Foundation because the values and mission of Lionheart perfectly aligned with my personal values and future career goals. Filling the crucial role of helping trauma-impacted populations is something I've always been passionate about, and Lionheart has given me the opportunity to kick off my career doing so. 

My primary responsibilities as a Lionheart outreach intern involved daily outreach which consisted of cold-calling, emailing, and partnership-building. These daily tasks gave me the opportunity to develop my marketing skills, communication skills, and resilience in a nonprofit environment. 

My experience volunteering with the Lionheart Foundation was a fantastic opportunity to allow me to grow as a worker newly entering the workforce. The outreach work gave me the chance to push myself out of my comfort zone, constantly learning and adjusting in order to complete my work as sufficiently as possible. I enjoyed every minute of working for Lionheart, and I have every intention of returning!
