I chose to intern with Lionheart because I have had previous experience in working to improve the child welfare system through incorporating trauma informed practices into the system. I came across the work that Lionheart is engaged in and was interested in understanding how we can empower youth through offering resources for social emotional regulation. 

 

My primary responsibilities included doing outreach to potential organizations about EQ2 across the United States through emails and calls. 

 

I had a great experience working with Lionheart. I learned a lot about best practices for conducting outreach and exploring marketing initiatives. The Lionheart team was really helpful and flexible and helped me navigate the entire process.
