Robin Casarjian, M.A. founded The Lionheart Foundation and served as its Executive Director from 1992-2023. Focusing on the passion that inspired her to launch Lionheart, she continues to serve as director of its National Prison Project. Robin is author of Houses of Healing: A Prisoner’s Guide to Inner Power and Freedom, which has been translated into Spanish, Cantonese, and Russian. The transformational Houses of Healing curriculum has impacted hundreds of thousands of incarcerated men and women nationwide. With a major grant from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Robin was the lead investigator on what is the largest examination of the impact of trauma-informed, rehabilitative programming for men and women in solitary confinement.

Robin is also author of Forgiveness: A Bold Choice for a Peaceful Heart (Bantam, 1992) and co-author, with Bethany Casarjian, Ph.D., of Power Source: Taking Charge of Your Life (Lionheart Press, 2003).
