About the Webinar

EQ2 was created to help staff build trauma-informed communities for youth. But what does it really look like to have a trauma-informed community and team? In our next Community Conversations Webinar, we’ll learn from the Harris County Probation Department (in Houston, Texas!) about how EQ2 has helped them build team cohesion and a sense of family within their juvenile justice residential programs. Not only is their team unique in the population they serve (a juvenile detention center), but this webinar will include discussion with both team leaders and supervisors/EQ2 facilitators who are directly implementing EQ2 on the floor about how they coach staff in ‘real-time.’ The Harris County Team will share:

Ways that EQ2 fits in with other youth-focused trauma-informed programming (e.g., TBRI)

Positive changes they have seen in the ways staff are interacting with youth

The impact that EQ2 has had on their team cohesion and connectedness

Tips on ways to coach triggered staff in ‘real-time’

The effects of EQ2 on the broader Harris County community

And if you can’t make it, all webinars will be archived on the Lionheart website and all registered participants will receive a link to the recording. Live or archived… join us to learn alongside the growing EQ2 community!

If you’re an EQ2 agency and would like to partner with us for a Community Conversation webinar, please reach out!

We host 2 Community Conversations per year to share the accumulating knowledge around best practices, implementation tips and strategies, special populations such as juvenile justice, and a wide range of creative EQ2 applications we’ve been hearing from agencies across the country.
